Okinawa is a prefecture of longevity, but the sick are overflowing into hospitals. The other day I accompanied my mother to the University of the Ryukyus Hospital, but she had a referral letter from another doctor, and since she went without an appointment, it took from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.

The doctor's visit lasted about five minutes, although there were various tests during that time. My mother was exhausted at the end.
