About "Vertigo" and "Meniere's Syndrome"

Hello everyone, this is Kawamitsu, LFC Representative. Today I would like to tell you about "dizziness," which may become more common this time of year.

Okinawa is usually in the rainy season, but where has it gone? It's the time of year when the rainy season is over and summer is in full swing. And when the rainy season ends, full-blown summer arrives. In summer, we sweat and the body's moisture easily evaporates, and we also tend to get dizzy easily when we go to club activities without enough sleep. Another thing that can easily cause dizziness is a lack of iron in the body.

Among many other factors, we recently had a male patient in his 20s who came to our restaurant and said he felt dizzy when getting up from a chair or out of bed. We have previously had three women in their 50s and 60s with so-called "Meniere's syndrome" who felt dizzy and saw the ceiling spinning. What the above people had in common was a distortion of cervical vertebra #5.

Cervical vertebra No. 5 is also where cranial nerve No. 8, the "inner ear nerve," exits, so distortion can cause problems with balance. This can lead to symptoms such as dizziness and the ceiling appears to spin.

Both the previous female patient in her 50s-60s and the male patient in his 20s felt refreshed after the adjustment of cervical vertebra 5 and did not experience "dizziness" afterward.

If you are suffering from similar symptoms, it is possible that cervical vertebra No. 5 is out of alignment, so we recommend that you have your cervical vertebrae checked for distortion.
