The LFC Yomitan branch has introduced the Activator!!

Hello, everyone. This is Kawamitsu, the representative of LFC. It’s been a scorching summer—how are you all doing?

This blog post is about the Activator in chiropractic care. The other day, when Carline and Tatyana, two young chiropractors from the U.S., visited LFC, they gave me an Activator as a gift. Since I had learned about it in class back when I was still a student, it felt very fresh to me, and it was incredibly effective when adjusting clients!!

Now, let's take a look at the new Activator Method!!

Unlike traditional treatments that involve manually cracking bones, this method is characterized by the use of specialized tools to safely and precisely adjust the skeletal structure.

1. How It Works and Key Features

Using an activator (a metal or plastic device shaped like a syringe), a high-speed, light vibration—like a “snap!”—is applied to the misaligned joint.

  • Virtually painless (highly safe)
    • Manual orthodontic treatmentAbout 30 to 50 times fasterThis transmits the vibrations. Since the stimulation reaches the joints before the muscles can trigger a defensive response (bracing and tensing up), no strong force is required. As a result, everyone from elderly people with osteoporosis to babies and pregnant women can safely receive this treatment.
  • Resetting "Nervous System Malfunctions"
    • The purpose of the activator is not to force the bone to move, but to stimulate the “sensors (receptors)” in the joint so thatRestoring Normal Function to the Brain and Nervous System's Command NetworkThat is to say, as the nerves begin to function normally, muscle tension is released and the skeletal structure naturally returns to its correct position.

2. Proprietary examination method (checking leg length)

In the Activator Method, the practitioner proceeds while carefully checking the patient’s foot movement and length.

  1. Have the patient lie face down, and compare the lengths of their left and right legs.
  2. Ask the patient to perform a specific action (such as “Please place your right hand on your hip”) (isolation test).
  3. When that movement puts stress on the nerves, it causes a temporary discrepancy in leg length, which allows us to pinpoint exactly which bone is misaligned at that moment.
  4. Place the tool firmly against the area where the misalignment was found to make the adjustment.

Who is this for?

  • For those who are afraid of or uncomfortable with having their bones cracked
  • For those who suffer from chronic lower back pain, stiff shoulders, or headaches
  • For those experiencing symptoms of autonomic nervous system imbalance (such as dizziness, insomnia, and irritability)
  • People who experience joint pain but cannot undergo treatments involving strong stimulation due to advanced age or other reasons

If you're currently considering Activator therapy at a clinic near you, please come try it at our clinic!!
